Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Quick Buzzer handles and the choices available to players.
Information we handle
Quick Buzzer stores an account identifier and your chosen display name. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, authentication is handled by that provider and Supabase Auth. Online rooms temporarily contain display names, presence, game actions, scores, and timing results. If you report another player, we store the reporter and reported account identifiers, reported display name, room identifier, reason, and report time for safety review. Local Wi-Fi rooms send display names and game actions directly between devices on the same network.
How information is used
This information is used only to sign you in, remember your display name, connect players, operate game rooms, determine results, review safety reports, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
Advertising and consent
When advertising is enabled, Quick Buzzer may show a banner on the main screen, an occasional full-screen ad after room entry, and optional rewarded ads. Google Mobile Ads may process device or advertising information according to your consent choices and applicable law. Privacy choices can be reviewed from Settings whenever the option is required.
Ad-free options and purchases
Completing two optional rewarded ads grants 24 hours without ads on this device. Monthly and yearly ad-free subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. Quick Buzzer does not receive your full payment details. Subscription availability, price, renewal, cancellation, and restoration are managed through your store account.
Notifications
On iPhone and iPad, optional notifications use Apple Push Notification service (APNs). If you allow them, Quick Buzzer stores an app-specific device token in Supabase to send service updates. Android users can read announcements inside the app; this version does not promise background push on Android. Quick Buzzer does not use notification tokens for advertising or cross-app tracking. You can turn iOS notifications off in Quick Buzzer or device settings.
Android subscription verification
Android purchases are checked with Google Play by our verification service before activating an ad-free plan. Purchase tokens, product identifiers, expiry and renewal status are used to validate purchases and prevent fraud. Receipts are not readable by other players. Account deletion does not cancel store billing: cancel separately in Apple or Google subscription settings. Purchase records may remain where needed to restore a paid benefit, prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations.
Local room invitations
Local Wi-Fi game messages are encrypted. The full invitation contains the room encryption key: share it only with trusted players on your network. All local players must use the updated version. Older plaintext invitations are not accepted.
Advertising SDK data
Google Mobile Ads automatically processes information such as IP address, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information when the SDK is active. IP addresses may be used to estimate approximate location. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily stop this processing. Google processes this information for advertising, measurement, diagnostics and fraud prevention under its privacy policy and applicable consent requirements. Quick Buzzer does not request GPS location.
Service providers
Quick Buzzer uses Supabase for authentication, online room data, and the in-app announcement feed; Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for optional account access; Apple Push Notification service for optional iOS delivery; Apple and Google for store subscriptions; and Google Mobile Ads when advertising is enabled. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.
Retention and deletion
Your saved profile remains until you delete your account. Online rooms are removed when the host ends them normally. Safety reports may be retained as needed to investigate abuse, protect users, and meet legal obligations. You can permanently delete your profile and Quick Buzzer account from Settings or use the account deletion page. Deleting a Quick Buzzer account does not delete your Google or Apple account.
Children
Quick Buzzer is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Do not enter sensitive personal information as a display name.
Security and choices
Access to online data is restricted with authenticated Supabase policies and server-side game actions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You may play as a guest, sign out, manage notifications and advertising privacy choices when available, or delete your account.
